Federal Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native application platforms that support core company applications, tools, and other essential services to ensure our product operates effectively across all AWS regions where we are present.

• Identify, design, and implement enhancements in development and deployment processes, enabling engineers to deploy at any time with assurance.

• Create and implement tools for the internal platform to gather telemetry data, which is utilized to assess its efficiency in assisting H3's engineers.

• Foster a strong documentation culture within the Engineering Organization (Confluence, Documentation as code).

• Engage in effective project management and task allocation (Jira, Agile Concepts).

• Develop Terraform modules and Crossplane compositions that are user-friendly for all engineering teams.

• Serve as a positive exemplar of automation in infrastructure-as-code, platform operations, and comprehensive CI/CD practices.

• Assess new technologies and automation patterns, application hosting, and enhancements in infrastructure provisioning. Propose and outline the necessary work.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform engineering, or similar fields.

• Capability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while exercising sound judgment in prioritization and time management.

• Innovative, self-driven, pragmatic, disciplined, detail-oriented, and results-focused.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding and experience in solution design and workflow.

• Proficient in technical documentation and communication.
