Federal Contract Specialist, USSOCOM, Secret Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• All responsibilities outlined for the Contract Specialist role.

• Choose the most suitable pricing arrangement(s) for solicitation purposes.

• Create unpriced orders and contracts following a simplified acquisition process.

• Assess whether a written source selection plan is required, and if necessary, accurately document the source selection strategy.

• Organize and execute effective oral solicitations and proposals.

• Conduct pre-quote, pre-bid, or pre-proposal conferences as needed, while maintaining precise records of the discussions.

• Utilize audit findings to assist in cost analysis, price analysis, or cost reasonableness assessments and to formulate negotiation objectives.

• Develop a negotiation strategy and plan to enable negotiators to optimize the Government’s capability to secure the best value.

• Evaluate and document a firm's responsibility or capability to competently fulfill the contract’s terms and conditions.

• Conduct debriefings before and after award to provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful bidders.

• Strategize for the assessment, evaluation, and determination of a contractor’s performance; clearly outline the roles and responsibilities of the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Hold post-award orientation meetings to review contract milestones and duties.

• Make sound decisions regarding the allowance or disallowance of contract costs. Adjust pricing or fees in accordance with contract terms. Identify any defects in cost or pricing data and implement appropriate remedies.

• Analyze claims and ascertain their validity; negotiate resolutions when necessary; prepare a formal decision.

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• Experience in federal contracting with USSOCOM is essential.
