This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Create, sustain, evaluate, and instruct online synchronous courses within the Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling programs, ensuring they meet program outcomes and accreditation criteria.
• Guide and assist students, adjunct faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to enhance student achievement and program excellence.
• Engage in service to the discipline, profession, and institution, which includes committee involvement and community outreach, both internally and externally.
• Exhibit professional and collegial behavior that nurtures mutual respect, trust, transparent communication, and appropriate confidentiality with faculty, staff, and university leadership.
• Participate in ongoing program enhancement, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Execute additional duties and projects as designated in collaboration with the Dean, in accordance with the faculty role expectations detailed in the Faculty Manual.
• Possess an earned Doctorate (PhD or DMFT in Marriage & Family Therapy, Ph.D. or PSY.D. in Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy), or a related field from an accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion by the start date.
• Must hold a license or be eligible for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
• At least two (2) years of experience in post-professional practice within a mental health or related practice environment.
• Experience in higher education teaching, preferably in online asynchronous formats.
• Active participation in relevant professional and academic organizations.
• Experience in supporting program accreditation or regulatory compliance (e.g., COAMFTE, regional accreditation, or state licensure board criteria, as applicable).
• Demonstrated involvement in scholarly, professional, or community engagement activities.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and support adjuncts in an online learning environment.
• Dedication to student-centered teaching and supporting a diverse population of adult learners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative abilities.
• Proven expertise in developing and delivering contemporary, market-relevant, and engaging curriculum, assessments, and learning activities in an online-first Learning Management System (LMS).
• Experience in utilizing data-informed strategies to improve student success and retention.
• Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and professionals across various disciplines.
