This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of Metronet facilities projects, which encompass warehouses, laydown yards, offices, and corporate environments.
• Direct projects from site assessment and due diligence through the development of scope, budget, and schedule, design coordination, permitting, contractor selection and supervision, execution of construction/renovation, commissioning, occupancy, and the decommissioning/closeout process at the end of the lease.
• Perform regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, safety, and adherence to contract specifications, schedule, and budget; confirm the work completed.
• Create precise and timely project status reports, dashboards, and updates (including progress, risks/issues, budget versus actual, and schedule performance) for the Facilities Director and leadership.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or at least 4-5 years of progressive hands-on experience in commercial facilities or construction project management in lieu of a degree.
• Proven expertise in essential project management skills: developing and managing project scope, creating and maintaining schedules, controlling budgets and expenses, identifying and mitigating risks, managing change orders, and providing clear status updates to stakeholders.
• Strong capability to read, interpret, edit, and provide feedback on architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and complete construction document sets.
• Direct experience in preparing and submitting permit applications and coordinating with local building authorities and inspectors to ensure compliance with codes (including building, zoning, ADA, fire/life safety, etc.).
• Working knowledge of AIA Contract Documents, with specific experience in reviewing, verifying, and processing G702 Applications for Payment and G703 Continuation Sheets (Schedule of Values) in conjunction with on-site progress verification.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating with contractors/vendors, assessing bids, and managing construction contracts while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing professional reports, emails, and presentations while effectively conveying technical information to contractors, internal teams, and leadership.
• Highly self-motivated and organized, with a proven ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks effectively, break initiatives into actionable steps, and provide accurate status reports with minimal oversight.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a team as well as work independently.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; readiness and ability to travel frequently (often 1 night/2 days or more nights per week) to project locations, potentially across different states.
