Expert Power Consultant – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• In this position, you will deliver development support, strategic planning, expert consulting, conceptual design, and engineering design oversight within the SLC project portfolio to facilitate power projects.

• You will also have the chance to support and lead project economic and cost analysis, risk evaluations, and contracting strategies.

• Your duties will encompass preparing project implementation strategies and plans, providing expert consulting, conducting owner’s engineering reviews, performing technical due diligence, evaluating process improvements, and supporting project development as well as conceptual planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a solid academic background is required for this position.

• At least 15 years of experience in the energy/power sector is necessary.

• Prior experience with electric utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), or energy project development is essential.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to project deadlines is crucial.

• While not mandatory, skills in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews of power projects are advantageous.

• A comprehensive understanding of power station operations and performance assessments is desirable.

• Familiarity with electric utility business processes and operations is beneficial.

• Experience in economic and cost analysis, as well as contract development, is a plus.
