Expert - AI Production Studio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance on the development, production, financing, distribution, and monetization of content by both AI and traditional studios.

• Offer insights into revenue streams from production services, commissioned content, licensing, streaming platforms, broadcasters, theatrical distribution, advertising, branded content, and proprietary intellectual property.

• Clarify the landscape of content consumers, the decision-makers in commissioning, sales channels, sales cycles, and relationships with buyers and distribution partners.

• Counsel on pricing and commercial frameworks, including project fees, cost-plus models, licensing fees, minimum guarantees, royalties, revenue sharing, and co-production agreements.

• Evaluate development and production expenses, team organization, costs associated with AI and technology, marketing and distribution costs, profit margins, break-even timelines, and project-specific profitability.

• Examine opportunities where AI can minimize costs or expedite production timelines, identify necessary human team capabilities, and assess commercial, copyright, talent, and quality risks.

• Suggest the most effective operational model for launching and expanding an AI production studio, encompassing production services, commissioned content, original IP, branded content, technology-driven services, or combinations of these elements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally 10+ years, in film, television, animation, digital media, branded content, or AI-driven production.

• Experience in establishing or working at an AI-focused production company, film or television studio, streaming platform, or content distribution enterprise.

• Direct familiarity with studio business models, production costs, pricing strategies, customer acquisition, and project-level economics.

• Proven experience collaborating with content buyers, including streaming platforms, broadcasters, studios, brands, agencies, or distributors.

• A practical understanding of the impacts of generative AI on content development, production, and post-production processes.

• The capability to present real-world examples, indicative economics, and insights gained from projects or businesses they have previously managed.
