Experienced Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Execute precise and timely month-end and year-end tasks within Property Accounting.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of balance sheet accounts, which includes preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Engineering teams regarding accounting practices, data collection, validation, and SOX compliance.

• Assist team members with both regular and ad hoc requests.

• Review contracts and confirm appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with US GAAP.

• Engage in testing accounting solutions during system implementation initiatives.

• Evaluate various accounting scenarios and provide insights into the global Assets Capitalization process.

• Conduct accurate data entry and timely reporting.

• Work in conjunction with divisional finance and FP&A teams.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw clear and relevant conclusions.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Fluent in English, with strong speaking, writing, and reading skills.

• Working knowledge and understanding of general ledger accounting principles.

• Preferably a graduate in Finance or Accounting Studies.

• Eager to learn and exhibit a proactive attitude.

• Team-oriented and communicative.

• Capable of thriving in a virtual and rapidly changing environment.

• Ability to support month-end and year-end accounting processes.

• Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX controls.

• Competent in reviewing contracts and determining suitable accounting treatment.

• Experience or willingness to participate in testing accounting solutions during system implementation projects.
