Executive Underwriter, AVP – Underwriting Director, Construction Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate new and renewal accounts in Auto, General Liability, and Worker’s Compensation.

• Act as a customer industry advocate, concentrating on enhancing the customer experience by comprehending their risk.

• Employ a methodical approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.

• Leverage risk insights, data, and models to make informed decisions at the point of sale.

• Engage in market-facing activities and production within the expanding Construction division.

• Oversee and enforce underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, as well as rating manual standards.

• Operate within broad parameters and authority on complex assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support roles OR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles OR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 8+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Capability to effectively assess risk.
