This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Spearhead the enhancement of Pearson’s finance capabilities, promoting AI-driven innovation in reporting, planning, and analytics.
• Establish and execute the strategic roadmap for finance systems, reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities.
• Guide the advancement of finance tools and processes to boost efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
• Identify and implement ways to utilize AI and machine learning to improve forecasting, minimize manual reporting, and enhance insight generation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Data, and business teams to ensure capability development aligns with enterprise priorities.
• Impact investment decisions in finance systems, data, and reporting capabilities to maximize business value.
• Promote standardization and consistency across business units to enable scalable and comparable finance processes.
• Oversee comprehensive finance transformation initiatives, from the business case through to delivery and adoption.
• Convert business requirements into clear priorities, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor and realize benefits from transformation activities to enhance efficiency, control, and output quality.
• Provide improved reporting, dashboards, and KPI frameworks to aid in decision-making and performance management.
• Enhance the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial and operational reporting.
• Facilitate integrated performance views across planning, reporting, and analysis processes.
• Optimize finance data structures, systems, and workflows to boost reliability and efficiency.
• Implement automation and analytics solutions to lessen manual effort and improve insight generation.
• Establish governance frameworks for changes in finance capabilities, encompassing requirements, testing, and controls.
• Ensure robust change management, documentation, and user adoption throughout initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and data governance standards.
• Lead and nurture a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and expectations.
• Build capabilities across systems, data, reporting, and analytics within the team and the broader finance function.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, including the adoption of AI-enhanced workflows within finance and analytics.
• Extensive experience in senior finance partnering roles, with exposure to commercial functions.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape strategic decisions at the enterprise level.
• In-depth expertise in financial planning, investment analysis, data analytics, and financial systems.
• Strong grasp of reporting, planning, and performance management frameworks.
• Experience in driving finance transformation, including improvements in systems, processes, and operating models.
• Capacity to operate across organizational boundaries with a holistic enterprise mindset.
• Strong leadership skills, with a history of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Collaborative approach to working across Finance, Technology, Data, and business functions.
• Experience in working with or implementing AI, automation, or advanced analytics within finance settings.
• This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
