This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• You will oversee a portfolio of 25-30 clients, primarily consisting of Enterprise Architecture & Innovation leaders who report to CIOs, hailing from global Fortune 1000 companies and government entities.
• In your role as their Executive Partner, you will provide value through regular briefings, a combination of on-site and virtual workshops, roundtables, webinars, and participation in relevant Gartner events, among others.
• With your prior experience in similar positions, you will leverage your knowledge and expertise, supplemented by additional Gartner resources and research, to coach and mentor your clients on essential initiatives and challenges in the EA domain, including their potential for role development.
• Collaboration is essential: You will engage closely with multiple internal Gartner teams to ensure value delivery; these teams may include Sales, Account Executives, Analysts, Client Managers, and your colleagues across other EITL areas.
• This position is client-facing and necessitates a high level of Executive presence, along with the ability to build trust and deliver value.
• You will be responsible for member retention and contributing to regional growth by directly supporting Gartner Sales in prospect cultivation, account plan development, and value demonstration activities.
• This is mainly a home-based role, where you will function as an individual contributor managing your own desk and various administrative tasks; you will provide value to your client portfolio predominantly in a virtual format.
• Over 15 years of experience with a primary focus in an executive Enterprise Architecture leadership role, such as Chief Enterprise Architect, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Technologist, Chief Strategist, or Head of Innovation Lab within a Fortune 500 organization.
• Experience in executive-level positions within consulting, sales, or customer-facing roles.
• Contemporary technical skills and subject matter expertise in the following areas: Enterprise Architecture (EA).
• Proven ability to build and lead an effective business outcome-driven EA program.
• Proficiency in business, information, technology, and solutions architecture.
• Expertise in IT portfolio management and modernization.
• Experience with federated enterprise architecture in large organizations.
• Knowledge of EA governance.
• Familiarity with EA in highly outsourced IT structures and across extended ecosystems.
• Key technology and solution areas such as Cloud, AI, CX, agile methodologies, and composable architectures.
• Experience in architecting platforms (consider Amazon, eBay, Uber, etc. as business-enabling platforms).
• Strong background in Innovation Leadership/Management.
• Ability to foster a culture of innovation.
• Knowledge of funding sources, both internal and external VC.
• Skills in ideation, transfer, and incubation.
• Experience with prototypes, pilots, and the ‘industrialization’ of innovation.
• Competence in technology tracking, scenario planning, and horizon scanning.
• Familiarity with innovation metrics and maturity—measuring innovation effectiveness and business impact.
• Understanding of innovation frameworks and environments.
• Insight into business and reverse innovation.
• Awareness of business, social, and technology trends and their creative application to create business advantages, including increasing ethical and sustainability goals.
• Knowledge of industry impacts, breadth of application, and non-adoption risks.
• Familiarity with the product development lifecycle.
• Experience in Digital Business/Government, transformation, and strategic planning.
• Ability to develop digital business/government strategy and roadmap—applying new, digitally enabled business models.
• Competence in traditional business and IT strategic planning.
