Executive Medical Director, Value-Based Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary clinical leader for managing relationships with advanced primary care, value-based specialty care, and complex care providers.

• Supervise assigned senior clinical specialists.

• Collaborate with the Network value-based contracting, analytics, and actuarial teams to assess total cost of care, quality, and performance experiences.

• Develop engagement strategies with advanced primary care, value-based specialty care, and complex care providers.

• Identify opportunities for expanding or reducing provider relationships.

• Hold accountability for provider-group performance in terms of cost, quality, and experience, including MA Stars measures.

• Work as part of the Medical Affairs Network leadership team to enhance provider performance across all business lines.

• Ensure the timely completion of deliverables according to due dates and compliance with Federal and state regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate clinically with providers to support their success on behalf of members.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree.

• A valid and active medical license (MD or DO) free from encumbrances.

• Board Certification, including Maintenance of Certification, in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

• 5–10 years of experience in managed care, value-based care, and quality improvement.

• At least 5 years of experience in delivering value-based care.

• Capability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed organization/environment.

• Proficiency in engaging with physicians, vendors, community partners, administrative leaders, clinical leaders, and staff.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes.

• Ability to work virtually with some travel required for in-person meetings.

• MBA or MPH degree preferred.

• Preferred experience in medical informatics and/or data science.
