This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.
• Offers strategic guidance across all therapeutic areas as well as various divisions and business units within PPD to ensure adherence to and consistent implementation of the strategic partnership model, which includes operations, quality, and financial benchmarks.
• Engages and influences functional leaders and other key internal stakeholders on operational and strategic priorities to foster collaboration and innovation in order to achieve partnership objectives.
• Oversees and influences internal operations to reduce potential risks and enhance client satisfaction.
• Accountable for meeting overall financial and operational goals associated with partnerships as designated.
• Collaborates with leadership across all functional areas to refine and enhance partnership processes.
• Partners with Business Development to secure new business opportunities by delivering client presentations and developing proposals.
• Collaborates with other assigned Development Operations Leads on PPD Strategic Partnerships.
• May also be tasked with assessing, co-developing, and/or implementing client-specific partnership business processes, including managing partnership change effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Prior experience that equips the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role effectively (equivalent to 15+ years).
• A minimum of 8 years in a management role.
• Advanced leadership capabilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in English both spoken and written.
• Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders to achieve partnership objectives.
• Competent in managing and developing metrics and reports to ensure effective portfolio management, including operations, quality, and financial aspects.
• Strong financial literacy.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to apply critical thinking and analytical skills in complex or ambiguous scenarios.
• Skilled in establishing a robust network of influential contacts.
• Proficient understanding of project management principles and their application.
• Well-versed in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and directives.
• Strong marketing and negotiation skills.
• Effective in collaborating across different geographies and cultures.
