Executive Director, Medical Team Leader – Cardiovascular Pipeline and Prevention

📋 Description

• Design and implement strategies for the US Medical Cardiovascular (CV) pipeline and CV prevention.

• Ensure the execution of development activities for all compounds associated with the relevant disease area(s).

• Foster effective team dynamics, performance, prioritization, and communication within a multidisciplinary team.

• Serve as the primary contact for the US Medical Affairs Leadership team and Global teams.

• Build and sustain productive working relationships with counterparts across cross-functional and Global Line Functions.

• Responsible for formulating and establishing strategic plan activities and timelines for the US Medical Affairs CV pipeline.

• Collaborate with external experts in the disease area(s) to gather valuable insights.

• Actively identify challenges and potential bottlenecks.

• Lead the analysis of current and future disease projections.

• Oversee the development of strategy documents, risk logs, and phase transition tollgates.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD, PhD, PharmD, or a Master's/Doctoral degree in life sciences/chemistry, or a Bachelor of Science accompanied by an MBA is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry.

• At least 5 years or equivalent multi-/cross-functional leadership experience is preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Cardiovascular therapeutic area is required.

• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex multidisciplinary drug development teams.

• In-depth knowledge of drug development processes, encompassing both early- and late-stage development.

• Advanced skills in program management and team facilitation.

• Strong leadership presence.
