This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Develop the vision and strategy for Regulatory Affairs to expedite the licensing required for the deployment of new technologies in Europe and beyond North America.
• Oversee various product licensing initiatives, including managing strategic efforts to hasten the market introduction of small modular reactors (BWRX-300).
• Lead teams and provide guidance and strategic direction for licensing activities related to new plants and products.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams that will introduce new products and projects to the European market.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and project managers, engineering teams, and senior management to ensure alignment of regulatory strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regulators, customers, and industry working groups.
• Review, approve, and submit necessary documentation to regulatory bodies.
• Manage the licensing budget effectively.
• Ensure adherence to internal GEH Quality Program requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in nuclear licensing, design, and operations.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role with substantial scope and responsibilities.
• Willingness and capability to travel occasionally.
• Ability and readiness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, which includes necessary background checks, as well as an SGI/safeguards clearance.
• Experience working with regulatory and governmental agencies.
• Working knowledge of nuclear regulations, preferably in European countries.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with a strong Nuclear Safety Culture (i.e., fostering a respectful work environment and encouraging the raising of concerns).
• Evaluates the potential impacts of the regulatory landscape on the business and clients.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including facilitation abilities.
• Capability to work effectively with senior executives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Clear and credible communicator on technical matters.
• Robust program/project management skills.
• Proficient in PC usage.
• Occasional travel is required.
