This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Generate comprehensive estimates, quotes, and tenders utilizing Buildxact or comparable estimating software.
• Conduct material, labor, and trade take-offs.
• Analyze architectural plans, sketches, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Create precise project costings by leveraging existing templates, supplier pricing, and historical data.
• Revise estimates in response to modifications in plans, selections, or project scope.
• Aid in the upkeep of pricing databases, estimating templates, and supplier information.
• Detect missing details, inconsistencies, or potential cost concerns prior to finalizing quotes.
• Provide support to the Director in daily construction administration tasks.
• Prepare and manage project documentation and records.
• Assist with purchase orders and material procurement for ongoing projects.
• Coordinate supplier information, pricing, and documentation.
• Monitor project requirements and ensure administrative tasks are executed.
• Maintain organized digital project files and documentation.
• Assist with variations and modifications throughout the project lifecycle as needed.
• Gradually assume responsibility for estimating and administrative tasks to enhance quoting capacity and support the Director's emphasis on site operations, client relationships, and strategic business growth.
• At least 2+ years of experience in estimating, contract administration, or a related role in residential construction.
• Strong background in residential renovations, extensions, and/or custom home projects.
• Prior experience supporting Australian construction projects is highly preferred.
• Proficient estimating, take-off, and tender preparation skills.
• Practical experience with Buildxact is highly desirable.
• Experience with AdminPro or similar construction/estimating platforms will also be taken into account.
• Capability to interpret architectural plans, sketches, and construction specifications with confidence.
• Experience in obtaining and working with supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Solid understanding of material and labor costing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Proactive in seeking out missing information.
• Confident in raising questions before they escalate into issues.
• Able to handle multiple quotes and projects at the same time.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Accountable for meeting deadlines and ensuring the accuracy of your work.
• Capable of communicating clearly when priorities conflict or when additional information is needed.
