This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assessing incoming tenders, managing contracts, and engaging in negotiations.
• Timely submission of payment claims, invoices, and collection of outstanding payments.
• Inputting subcontractors' quotations into our system along with other data entry responsibilities.
• Striving to enhance the project margin by 2% after the tender is awarded.
• Executing value engineering in collaboration with clients and subcontractors/suppliers.
• Contract negotiations with subcontractors.
• Preparing and finalizing a thorough project handover to the Project team post-award of the tender.
• Managing variations and ensuring that final accounts are submitted punctually.
• Building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, contractors, and internal teams.
• Actively supporting the team in enhancing skills related to estimating, tendering, and quoting for contracts.
• Conducting material take-offs based on plans and specifications while applying suitable material and labor rates.
• Handling procurement and subcontractor agreements.
• Monitoring and ensuring profitability across all contracts.
• Facilitating timely progress payments to clients in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Reviewing contractual documents to highlight any unusual terms or conditions before engaging in impractical agreements.
• Identifying and establishing new relationships with subcontractors.
• Managing project cash flow and negotiating terms that align with the business's needs.
• Ensuring subcontractor payments align with client payments.
• Minimizing business risks through effective cash flow management.
• Highlighting any risk items found within tender documentation.
• Preparing monthly reports on active projects, including cost status, procurement risks, and variations up to date.
• Demonstrated experience (5 years+) in commercial construction estimating.
• Intermediate to Senior level estimating expertise.
• Strong grasp of commercial and financial concepts.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Confidence in voicing opinions, asking questions, and contributing ideas during project planning and tender evaluations.
• Ability to think creatively and recognize opportunities for enhancing project results, profitability, and efficiency.
• Taking ownership of tasks with a high degree of accountability.
• Assisting in alleviating pressure on senior leadership by managing tender preparation, cost analysis, and commercial recommendations.
• Demonstrating initiative and effective self-management.
