This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

• Create comprehensive estimates for construction costs and prepare submissions for tenders.

• Examine architectural and construction drawings along with specifications.

• Conduct quantity take-offs and accurately measure project requirements.

• Evaluate project scope and recognize potential cost risks or omissions.

• Verify and perform quality checks on AI-generated estimates and take-offs.

• Utilize professional judgement to spot pricing inconsistencies, logical errors, or missing data.

• Collaborate directly with contractors, builders, and project stakeholders to clarify project needs.

• Manage and maintain estimating databases and pricing information.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the estimating process.

• Work in a cooperative manner within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• At least 5 years of direct experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.

• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, take-offs, and pricing methods.

• Proven experience in preparing estimates for residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and strong commercial insight.

• Comfortable engaging with UK-based contractors and construction professionals through phone and email communications.

• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage workload in a remote setting.

• A positive attitude towards technology, AI, and process automation.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
