Estimation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Sales Division by preparing proposals and conducting thorough analyses of engineering and design.

• Create technical quotations for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage switchgear projects by evaluating requirements and costs.

• Generate cost estimates that encompass raw materials, labor, equipment, and tooling expenses.

• Identify, evaluate, and quantify cost uncertainties within costing models.

• Revise estimates and pricing in response to changes in scope, updated specifications, and new data.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement during the quotation process.

• Examine engineering drawings, technical specifications, bid documents, and RFQs.

• Prepare and present quotation packages and proposals in response to customer RFQs.

• Source and provide buyout-item pricing from authorized vendor partners.

• Analyze RFQ documentation and outline requirements, risks, and project details.

• Convey essential project information to ensure quotation accuracy and thoroughness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

• Over 3 years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.

• Proficient in reading single line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications.

• Advanced knowledge of LV/MV switchgear.

• Experience in technical proposals and quotations within the electrical equipment manufacturing sector.

• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.

• Intermediate understanding of automation, control, and metering solutions.

• Travel is necessary during onboarding and training, lasting 3–6 months, with up to 25% travel during this period.
