This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete server onboarding process, which includes initial imaging and bundled firmware updates.

• Address capacity management needs to ensure efficient provisioning of new servers.

• Conduct basic validation post-onboarding and guarantee a seamless transition to the Platform team.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering teams for new tasks.

• Develop and enhance automation scripts and provisioning pipelines.

• Monitor and report on onboarding metrics, pinpointing bottlenecks and driving enhancements.

• Assist in server repurposing and migration efforts as part of the overall lifecycle management.

• Keep comprehensive documentation and runbooks for consistent provisioning workflows.

• Work alongside the Hardware team when physical coordination is necessary during onboarding.

• Engage in process optimization to manage increasing onboarding volume while maintaining high quality.

• Onboard thousands of new servers through 2026, facilitating customer growth and capacity expansion.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Linux systems administration, deployment automation, or infrastructure operations.

• Proficient in Bash scripting with experience in creating and maintaining automation scripts for repetitive tasks.

• Practical experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.

• Strong grasp of Linux fundamentals, including networking, storage, boot processes, and command-line tools.

• Comfortable operating in high-volume deployment settings with remote hands support.

• Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Capability to work effectively during times of rapid scaling and high throughput demands.

• Openness to learn and adapt to Vultr's specific provisioning workflows and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant practical experience.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
