This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist a vibrant legal team in the preparation and management of crucial estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and deeds.
• Establish electronic client files and manage contacts/matters within Actionstep.
• Compose and dispatch introductory emails to clients.
• Aid in the preparation for the drafting of estate planning documents.
• Provide support to fellow team members within the firm.
• Engage in email communication with clients as necessary: verifying name spellings and acquiring missing contact details.
• Review drafted estate planning documents to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain effective communication with other paralegals, clients, and attorneys.
• Monitor and update the status of drafted documents through Smartsheets.
• Track the progress of assignments and alert the responsible attorney about any conflicts.
• Ensure the efficient and effective utilization of estate planning software.
• Identify training requirements and coordinate the necessary arrangements.
• Audit signed documents for accuracy and report any discrepancies to the appropriate notary.
• Send text reminders to clients using the firm’s software.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Previous experience in drafting and proofreading legal documents, along with the use of drafting templates, is essential.
• Proficient understanding of English grammar and punctuation.
• Experience with Microsoft Word.
• Strong writing abilities and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with American culture and customs.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and solving problems.
• Must be an attorney in the Philippines; while passing the bar exam is not a requirement, successful graduation from law school is mandatory.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in Estate Planning.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, deeds, and entities is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with HotDocs or similar software, WealthCounsel templates, Westlaw Form Builder, or equivalent software.
• Work-from-home opportunity in the Philippines.
• 40 hours of work per week.
