Estate Planning Contract Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create essential planning documents: Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, dynasty trusts, special needs trusts, pour-over wills, powers of attorney, health care surrogate designations, living wills, and various advanced directives.

• Develop and execute planning strategies: Construct estate plans for high-net-worth clients, incorporating tax-efficient transfers, asset protection measures, and business succession planning.

• Provide guidance on tax and asset protection matters: Advise clients on federal estate and gift tax implications, Florida homestead considerations, creditor protection, and proper asset titling.

• Collaborate with allied professionals: Work closely with financial advisors, family offices, CPAs, insurance experts, and internal staff to ensure integrated and effective planning.

• Assess and revise existing plans: Review prior estate strategies, identify potential gaps or risks, and propose updates that align with client objectives and current legislation.

• Offer client counseling and education: Simplify complex concepts into understandable terms and assist clients in navigating emotionally sensitive planning choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.

• Over 3 years of experience in estate planning.

• LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation.

• Willingness to travel within common practice areas - Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade counties.

• Proven experience managing high-net-worth clients and intricate estates.

• Strong drafting abilities and confidence in handling planning and probate documents independently.

• Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and ability to follow through.

• Capacity to work remotely with consistent professionalism and responsiveness.

• Good judgment and discretion in sensitive or high-value situations.

• Preferred experience with complex estate plans and tax-driven strategies.

• Proficient in Clio, LexisNexis, or similar platforms.
