This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Administer and optimize websites built on CMS platforms.
• Implement technical enhancements in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript based on business requirements.
• Set up and maintain plugins, modules, and components.
• Conduct basic technical SEO audits and apply structural improvements.
• Monitor website performance, loading times, and overall stability.
• Resolve technical issues related to the CMS.
• Maintain direct and ongoing communication with clients to gather, validate, and track technical requirements.
• Provide technical support during client meetings, explaining solutions, limitations, and improvement proposals.
• Manage technical requests by prioritizing impact, urgency, and defined scope.
• Participate in functional testing prior to production releases.
• Document technical changes and maintain basic version control where applicable.
• Suggest technical improvements aimed at enhancing performance, user experience, and organic positioning.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
• Costa Rican nationality.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in technical administration of CMS and management of corporate websites.
• Proven experience with CMS platforms such as Umbraco (preferably), WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or other enterprise-level CMS.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in: HTML (advanced semantic structure), CSS (responsive styling, template adjustments), JavaScript (functional modifications and script integration).
• Experience in: Advanced template configuration and theme customization.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of conflicts between plugins or modules.
• Performance optimization (caching, compression, resource optimization).
• Technical SEO (meta tags, header structure, basic structured data, sitemap, robots.txt).
• Integration with tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
• Basic management of databases related to CMS (MySQL or similar).
