ESL Teacher – Adult Learners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct adult professionals in English through engaging small-group sessions utilizing immersive technology.

• Conduct structured English communication lessons for adult learners.

• Guide students through practical scenarios, including meetings, travel, and professional interactions.

• Offer constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency.

• Facilitate 40-minute instructional sessions.

• Maintain proactive communication with the instructional team.

• Deliver lessons using IMMERSE's immersive language learning platform.

• Ensure availability for scheduling across various global time zones.

• Commit to consistent weekly availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field, OR a Bachelor's degree with an English teaching certification (120-hour TESOL certificate/CELTA or equivalent) along with extensive teaching experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of structured ESL teaching experience.

• Experience working with adult learners in group settings of 8 or more.

• A strong foundation in communicative or task-based language teaching methodologies.

• Proven ability to intentionally develop speaking and listening skills.

• Required C1 English proficiency (CEFR) or Advanced High (ACTFL) equivalent or above.

• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new platforms.

• Must be organized, reliable, and professional.

• Must have a Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) PC.

• Processor requirements: Intel i5-1135G7 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500U or superior.

• Graphics requirements: Intel Iris Xe / AMD Vega 7 or superior.

• Minimum of 8GB RAM.

• At least 10GB of available storage.

• An Ethernet connection is required; Wi-Fi-only setups are not supported.

• Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload is necessary.

• A wired headset with a built-in microphone is mandatory.

• Applicants must reside in an eligible U.S. state; hiring is not available for residents of California, Oregon, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Illinois, and Washington.
