Equipment & Modernization Commodity Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies tailored to specific categories.

• Lead the RFP/RFQ processes for both pre-award and post-award NE/MOD contracts.

• Spot opportunities to standardize catalog offerings.

• Serve as the primary supplier manager for all vendors associated with designated commodity categories.

• Provide NAA field offices with recommended material sources and pricing proposals from FSC.

• Prepare and oversee purchase orders for Non-Otis controllers, machines, fixtures, and other NE/MOD materials.

• Manage material procurement from delivery through installation.

• Work in conjunction with OSC Customer Service, MOD, FLO, Engineering, UNITEC, and external suppliers to address supply chain issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS or BA degree in business, supply chain, or engineering is required.

• A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in a supply chain role or experience in the elevator industry is preferred.

• Experience with SDC MOD Elog is advantageous.

• Prior vendor sourcing experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Global JDE and related systems (K2) is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft products: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Forms, SmartSheet, and Teams.

• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer elevator/escalator specifications/requirements documentation is essential.

• Capability to collaborate with various cross-functional teams is necessary.
