General Liability Claims Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the operations of various teams comprising examiners and technical personnel involved in liability claims.

• Assess colleagues' workloads, deliver training, and supervise individual claim activities.

• Offer technical and jurisdictional guidance to examiners regarding claims adjudication.

• Keep a diary for claims, including regular updates on complex or high-exposure cases.

• Identify and inform management about trends, challenges, and issues.

• Compile, review, and analyze management reports.

• Conduct quality reviews on claims to ensure compliance with audit standards.

• Serve as the second level of appeal for issues raised by clients and claimants.

• Evaluate reserve amounts on high-cost claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• A minimum of six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• At least two (2) years of experience in claims supervision.

• Comprehensive knowledge of claims management processes and procedures across multiple product lines.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.

• Proficient with PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
