This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Providing value by coaching end users on enhancements to products, optimizing surgical parameters, intraoperative techniques, and changes in procedures.
• Showcasing clinical expertise and reliability through consistent engagement in the operating room with users of Alcon surgical equipment.
• Conducting product trials in operating room or wet lab environments to demonstrate features, benefits, and functionalities to Alcon equipment users.
• Upholding technical excellence in Cataract and Vitreoretinal Surgery, as well as ophthalmic surgical visualization, through ongoing education.
• Offering primary support for troubleshooting during surgeries, ensuring a seamless intra-operative experience for end users.
• Generating leads, preparing sales proposals, and overseeing the equipment sales process with an emphasis on fulfilling end users' requirements.
• Accurately documenting site visits in a timely manner, capturing vital details to enhance customer support and outcomes.
• Supporting Alcon Employee Instrumentation training programs to aid in the skill development of employees for improved overall performance.
• Acting as a clinical and technical authority to encourage the adoption of Alcon technology while fulfilling all administrative duties accurately and punctually, including CRM updates, forecasting, and expense management.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferred qualifications include B.Sc. or B. Comm.
• A minimum of 5 years in medical or surgical sales experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating fluently in English.
• Capability to organize and prioritize projects while remaining adaptable.
• A strong desire for action and the introduction of new technologies that enhance patient outcomes.
• A demonstrated passion for learning, driven by curiosity.

• A proven work ethic and leadership skills within a team setting.
• Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of proven sales success in teaching the use of medical devices in an operating room environment, with a focus on Ophthalmology equipment.
• Extensive knowledge in the field of Ophthalmic Surgery (both anterior and posterior segment).
• Designation as an Optometrist, Optician, or Ophthalmic technician, or 5+ years of Equipment Sales experience in Ophthalmology.
• Strong technical aptitude and a commitment to deeply understanding complex subjects to communicate them simply.
• A desire to influence the future of eye care by playing a key role in training surgeons and end users on the optimal use of Alcon products.
