This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Epic Grand Central and Prelude, with additional experience in inpatient and ancillary modules as required.
• Assist with ongoing system operations including incident resolution, ticket management, maintenance, and optimization efforts.
• Engage in Epic upgrades, testing cycles, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal impact on clinical and operational workflows.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams, full-time equivalent analysts, project managers, and technical personnel to convert business needs into system solutions.
• Develop, analyze, and uphold clinical and operational requirements, ensuring they align with organizational standards and Epic best practices.
• Configure and support functionalities related to: bed planning and capacity management, Transfer Center workflows, security and electronic signature (e-Sign), peripheral device integration, and operational dashboards and reporting tools.
• Aid in defining and documenting functional specifications, workflows, interface requirements, and system enhancements.
• Take part in unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities for system modifications and improvements.
• Provide continuous end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend workflow optimizations.
• Document system modifications, release notes, testing outcomes, and training materials in accordance with change control procedures.
• Collaborate across Epic application teams to support inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, and revenue cycle workflows as necessary.
• Contribute to process enhancement initiatives, identifying gaps and suggesting improvements to boost efficiency and patient care workflows.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, including status updates, issue tracking, and escalation management.
• Participate in meetings, working sessions, and project governance activities to ensure alignment and timely achievement of objectives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts or team members as appropriate.
• Epic Certification in Grand Central and Prelude (mandatory)
• 2–5 years of experience in supporting Epic EMR or similar clinical systems
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
• Experience in system support, upgrades, testing, and production maintenance
• Capability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams consisting of clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
