This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize specialized clinical expertise related to hospital partners: categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information derived from detailed patient medical records.
• Guarantee the quality submission of all data within designated registries or measure data repositories, upholding a high accuracy standard.
• Prioritize, organize, and adhere to tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks and team requests; exercise tact and judgment to manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.
• Navigate new technical systems: electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools; leverage team resources to troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications, focusing on solutions.
• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and other business rule documents; identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance task and process efficiency.
• Stay informed about mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements as outlined by federal, state, payer, and other agencies.
• Perform any other additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Direct experience in abstracting data for the EP Device Implant registry via the ACC/NCDR within the past year.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to systematically tackle problems.
• Exhibits high standards of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency and a strong eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Excels in working independently and assumes ownership of projects and patient records.
• Communicates consistently and clearly, adjusting style and tone as necessary to effectively collaborate with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others.
• Exhibits strong self-organization and time management skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously, adapting as necessary to changing timelines and priorities.
• Ability to adjust to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments.
