Environmental Scientist – Geology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver Technical Support Services focused on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program.

• Execute environmental analyses on recipient information and data.

• Create preliminary documents, mainly categorical exclusions, within the NEPA review framework.

• Oversee and monitor incoming project submissions and communications directed to the EECBG NEPA Inbox.

• Attend and record outcomes of designated meetings, hearings, and phone calls.

• Offer assistance in the development of environmental policy and training materials.

• Draft documents detailing interactions with agencies and organizations concerning compliance with laws, regulations, licensing, and permitting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

• A decade of experience in environmental analysis and documentation.

• Geology Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of geological assessment and analysis.

• Familiarity with geological regulations and standards.

• Technical Writing: Skilled in crafting technical sections related to geology.

• Strong communication skills for conveying geological findings effectively.

• Review Skills: Competence in performing technical reviews for geological assessments.

• Quality assurance abilities for geological documentation.

• Collaboration: Proven skills in working with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Team-oriented approach to geology-related projects.
