Environmental Scientist 2 – Project Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collect samples of soil, water, air, and/or building materials.

• Analyze and interpret gathered data.

• Anticipate a work balance of approximately 80% in the field and 20% in the office.

• Prepare technical reports.

• Ensure the safe execution of project tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental field sampling and data collection.

• Familiarity with local NJDEP, NYDEC, and/or PADEP regulations.

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills, capability to manage multiple tasks, safety consciousness, and a solid understanding of safe work practices.

• Proven expertise in field procedures.

• Ability to generate reliable data and maintain appropriate field notes.

• Capacity to be effectively trained on various project types.

• Complete tasks promptly and within the budget outlined by the manager.

• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred.

• Experience in light construction or hands-on skills is advantageous.

• Proficient in data management and report preparation.

• A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation (using a personal vehicle) are mandatory.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
