Environmental Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a range of environmental compliance initiatives, which include Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; Hazardous Waste Stream Determinations; Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Plans; and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Reports.

• Take on Project Management duties as the senior technical lead, collaborating with a project team to mitigate risks, achieve project profitability targets, and manage both internal team performance and client expectations.

• Perform fieldwork at client locations to gather data, conduct meetings, and facilitate training sessions.

• Supervise the creation of project document deliverable outlines and layouts, engage in technical writing for reports, interpret data, and develop graphical presentations in a coherent and professional format.

• Manage project financial tasks, including proposals, project initiation, forecasting, invoicing, and oversight of subcontractor activities.

• Serve as a client manager to identify customer requirements and allocate work assignments and proposals to the relevant teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Studies; an Advanced Degree is preferred.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience, which may include internships and/or experience in related scientific fields.

• Proficient in computer software tools (Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.).

• General understanding of environmental compliance and/or principles of environmental engineering.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards in a specific environmental technical area.

• Capacity to obtain and maintain HAZWOPER certification through the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety course, as well as an annual 8-hour refresher course.

• OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
