This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer overall customer support for the HMMS program on-site.
• Serve as an application expert to assist with the general functioning of the HMMS system.
• Provide research and problem-solving assistance related to HMMS functions and capabilities.
• Oversee the processing, control, and coordination of documents that authorize the movement, storage, shipment, and issuance of hazardous materials and waste.
• Aid in data cleanup and conversion activities associated with any HMMS software releases and updates.
• Ensure that incoming materials correspond with the accompanying documentation and that they have been accurately entered into HMMS.
• Support the HazMat Cell and Receiving Center personnel with HMMS material inventory and reconcile the data collected in HMMS.
• Review and validate Local Purchase Requests/Purchase Card Requests before approval by the local authorizing authority.
• Assist in reviewing and validating Form 3952 (Material Authorization Request).
• Aid in the review and validation of Order Requests.
• Utilize Adhoc tools to generate reports and inventories as needed.
• Provide general support in operating HMMS peripherals such as label printers, portable data collection devices (PDAs), scanners, scales, workstations, etc.
• Assist the site system administrator, database administrator, or system operators to ensure and validate that HMMS system data backup routines are executed correctly.
• Perform general record-keeping and filing in accordance with site policies and procedures as directed by local authority.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to verify U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9.
• Capability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clerical experience.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Familiarity with the operations, mission, command structure, and guidance regulations of the specific site requesting the position.
• Understanding of inventory procedures and the processes necessary to resolve discrepancies.
• Proficient in operating automated equipment such as computer terminals and barcode readers/wands.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and/or Hazardous Waste.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
