• Oversees all aspects of multiple contract scopes of work (SOWs), ensuring the development and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Manages a team of TEL project managers and technical personnel to create technical strategies and cost proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs), supports the management team during negotiations for new contracts and/or task orders, and leads teams of project professionals, technicians, and support staff during contract execution.
• Acts as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned government clients, ensuring that all client expectations are met or surpassed.
• Recognizes work requests or requirements that fall outside the contract and promptly communicates these out-of-scope items to the client and the General Manager.
• Collaborates with corporate and project-level safety and quality management personnel to confirm that all contracts adhere to relevant safety and quality standards.
• Identifies safety and quality concerns related to contract execution and, when necessary, formulates and implements corrective measures.
• Conducts monthly reviews of program/project budgets to assess financial health, confirm expenditures, perform what-if analyses, and ensure the achievement of company-wide financial objectives.
• Reports directly to the general manager and aids in the formulation of budgets, strategic goals, and long-term growth plans.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental consulting; additional years of experience are preferred.
• At least 8 years of project management experience, demonstrating the ability to successfully complete projects.
• Experience as a project or client manager for agencies such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Air Force, US Navy, EPA, or other significant government entities involved in environmental restoration or compliance is required.
• Proven experience leading proposal/capture efforts for federal agencies.
• Strong working relationships with federal clients and/or agencies are required.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to proactively manage contracts, possessing experience in leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
• Requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Must be capable of obtaining clearance to access military bases and other federal government installations to perform job responsibilities.
