Environmental Permitting Specialist – Natural Resource Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assist with Energy Projects (including electric energy transmission, generation, and renewable sources)

• Aid in the enhancement of infrastructure programs for both state and private sectors

• Provide support for federal initiatives

• Prepare permit applications in accordance with Massachusetts Environmental Regulatory Programs

• Perform field ecology assessments related to wetlands and wildlife as part of the job

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related discipline

• Over 6 years of relevant experience or a proven equivalent of experience and/or education

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License

• US Citizenship is mandatory

• Experience in Environmental Permitting is essential

• Familiarity with wetlands in Massachusetts is required

• Excellent writing abilities

• Capability to draft environmental permitting applications is necessary

• Proficiency in GIS

• Strong computer skills are important

• Additional knowledge of other New England Environmental Regulatory Programs is preferred
