Environmental Health & Safety Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Direct the strategic vision, development, and ongoing enhancement of Dudek’s EHS programs and safety culture.

• Create and execute a scalable EHS operating framework, which includes aligning EHS Managers with business practices and ensuring uniform support across regions.

• Collaborate with Company leadership and Practice Leaders to instill safety accountability at every level and weave safety into operational planning and performance management.

• Develop and uphold comprehensive firmwide EHS policies, programs, and standards, guaranteeing consistency across both field and office settings.

• Supervise company and project adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, Cal/OSHA, etc.).

• Compile and deliver safety performance reports to executive and operational leadership, highlighting trends and fostering continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), or a similar field.

• Over 15 years of experience in safety management within the Environmental and Engineering consulting sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.

• Relevant professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or their equivalents.

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

• Willingness to travel to project sites and Dudek offices as necessary to support field operations, audits, and collaboration with practice teams.

• Proven track record of successfully building and scaling EHS programs within multi-location organizations.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to influence all levels of the organization.

• Experience in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and EHS management systems.
