Entrepreneur in Residence – Technical Co-founder, CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of problem framing, system architecture, design, and product decision-making from the outset, transforming initial product ideas into structured context and specifications that are actionable for both humans and AI systems.

• Leverage cutting-edge tools and advanced models to accelerate progress without compromising on quality or maintainability, creating agentic systems using first-principles reasoning while discerning when orchestration provides real advantages versus when simplicity is preferable.

• Serve as the main technical representative in early discussions with customers, grasping actual workflows and shaping the appropriate product instead of merely focusing on rapid delivery.

• Validate the potential for scalability before pursuing it, prioritizing traction over team-building initially.

• Engage in fundraising efforts, from discussions with investors to conducting due diligence.

• Recruit and develop a technical team when the timing is right, and lay the cultural groundwork for the organization.

• Demonstrated success in delivering AI products to actual users under real-world conditions, rather than in research, experiments, or prototypes.

• Extensive hands-on experience with advanced models, LLM-based systems, and agentic architectures, possessing strong instincts for system design along with a preference for simplicity and maintainability.

• Excellent skills in translating complex product intentions into clear structures, constraints, and specifications that are actionable for both humans and AI systems.

• Proximity to customers, comfortable in client interactions, and capable of allowing actual workflows to influence your development process.

• Committed to rigorous verification practices — including feedback loops, evaluation processes, and reliable systems.

• Prior experience as a technical co-founder or early engineering leader, with fundraising experience being a significant advantage.
