Enterprise Success Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison for enterprise clients from their initial onboarding to ongoing engagements.

• Oversee onboarding and migration initiatives, which include setting up environments, private infrastructure and networking, database migrations, and additional tasks.

• Offer consultative technical advice on best practices, deployment processes, and application performance within managed infrastructure.

• Contribute to and utilize internal tools to proactively monitor and enhance customer health and usage.

• Analyze key metrics to mitigate risks before they escalate into issues.

• Handle unique challenges from start to finish, responding to immediate client needs and acquiring new skills to tackle complex problems.

• Develop and organize client-facing materials such as professional emails, written guides, and presentations.

• Represent customer interests internally by communicating product feedback and specific requirements to Product and Engineering leadership.

• Establish trusted relationships with client stakeholders, serving as their primary technical advisor.

• Manage customer communication throughout technical onboarding, go-live, and scaling activities.

• Occasionally provide code-level suggestions and participate in the development of internal tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of experience directly interacting with clients in advisory, implementation, or ongoing operational roles.

• Familiarity with Laravel, whether personally or professionally.

• Technical understanding of general web application components (frontend, backend, database, cache, object storage, asset bundling, etc.) and applicable cloud infrastructure/deployment strategies (compute, networking, storage, security, etc.).

• Practical knowledge of the commercial and technical tradeoffs of cloud technologies, including concepts such as serverless, autoscaling, networking/bandwidth, databases, and related topics.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Must be located in APAC time zones.

• Experience in client-facing roles, including management consulting, investment banking, technical account management, sales engineering, or similar positions.

• Proven experience leading or supporting implementation, migration, or cutover efforts affecting production workloads.

• Experience writing production code, including personal or side projects.

• Background working in startup environments, particularly within SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS companies.

• Personal or professional experience with cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Laravel Forge, Laravel Vapor, Heroku, Vercel, or Railway.

• Contributions to side projects or open source initiatives.
