Enterprise Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, execution, and enhancement of enterprise wired and wireless networks, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and consistently available.

• Take responsibility for maintaining network connectivity among global branch offices, collaborating with international teams to standardize architecture and operations.

• Manage and guarantee the dependable functioning of remote access systems (VPN), focusing on capacity planning, resilience, and ongoing enhancements.

• Implement, sustain, and continuously refine automation and monitoring tools; establish best practices and promote an automation-first operational approach.

• Identify and resolve intricate network challenges, including cross-region and cross-provider incidents; conduct root cause analyses and apply preventive strategies.

• Evaluate, test, and integrate new equipment and emerging technologies; contribute insights and recommendations to global R&D initiatives.

• Work in collaboration with telecom service providers worldwide; lead escalations, oversee SLAs, and drive service enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive understanding of TCP/IP technologies.

• Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols.

• Experience in automation utilizing Python, Go, or other widely-used programming languages (capable of designing and maintaining production-grade automation).

• Proficient in Unix system administration.

• Practical experience with enterprise-level network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Arista, Extreme, Juniper).

• Strong capability to work independently, taking full ownership of outcomes in a senior or lead role.
