This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Optimize revenue opportunities and ensure an ideal business mix in Group, Catering, and Business Travel for hotels within the region.
• Provide guidance, training, and development support to centralized directors of sales, property directors of sales, and sales teams.
• Hold individuals and teams accountable for achieving revenue and activity targets aligned with budget and market-share objectives.
• Approve revenue and activity goals for properties along with incentive plans.
• Propel Group and Catering outcomes through disciplined sales efforts, effective funnel management, conversion strategies, and productivity of sales managers.
• Ensure hotels successfully acquire, activate, and reactivate Business Travel accounts in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Business Travel.
• Utilize HEI Corporate resources, such as VAW, HSR, CVENT, Knowland, and Zoom, to enhance operations.
• Collaborate with eCommerce and Marketing departments to bolster the online, brand, social, B2C, and digital visibility of regional properties.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies to achieve or surpass target metrics.
• Maintain communication with property sales teams regarding key corporate sales initiatives.
• Assign accountability, authority, and resources while monitoring implementation and outcomes.
• Verify daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities.
• Comply with corporate EDOS rhythms, including property rhythm calls, group update calls, DBR, and CVENT KPI evaluations.
• Assess market performance and potential utilizing tools like Travelclick, CVENT, Knowland, STR, SSA, and others.
• Execute other job-related responsibilities as needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality sector.
• Preference for candidates with multi-brand and market experience.
• Strong proficiency in CMS and brand sales platforms, including CI/TY, Delphi, Travelclick, CVENT, Knowland, Opera, and PMS.
• Excellent understanding of hotel sales, marketing, and revenue management principles.
• Advanced expertise in direct sales processes, B2C, revenue management practices, marketing, eCommerce strategies, and brand resources.
• Superior skills in leadership, strategic sales planning, data analysis/interpretation, multi-tasking, organization, and communication.
• Capability to manage team members to enhance performance and support Talent Acquisition and development through the HEI platform.
• Proficient in communicating effectively with owners, brands, and customers to convey the HEI brand message and achieve results.
