Enterprise Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold the enterprise data architecture, encompassing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Create integration strategies and architectural patterns that link case management, finance, CRM, document management, and analytics systems.

• Promote the use of API-led and event-driven architectures instead of point-to-point solutions.

• Assess and suggest data platform technologies, which include data warehouses, lakehouses, master data management solutions, and API frameworks.

• Develop data foundations that support AI and machine learning initiatives.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Analytics teams to implement architectural standards.

• Establish enterprise data security and access architecture in conjunction with data governance and information security teams.

• Create and maintain architecture roadmaps, standards, and documentation.

• Assist the CTO, Enterprise Architecture function, and Head of Data & Analytics with transformation programs, platform migrations, strategic technology decisions, and vendor selection.

• Facilitate the organization's data and AI transformation, advanced analytics, and modern cloud data platform initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering enterprise data architectures in complex or regulated settings.

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary data platform patterns, including data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, data mesh concepts, API-led architectures, and event-driven integration patterns.

• Experience in architecting solutions for operational reporting and advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning workloads.

• Profound knowledge of Azure-based data platforms and principles of cloud architecture.

• Acquaintance with Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and technologies.

• Proven experience in integrating multiple business-critical systems within a hybrid technology environment.

• Capacity to balance immediate business requirements with long-term architectural strategy and technical sustainability.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in producing architecture standards, roadmaps, and governance documentation.

• Familiarity with case management systems, CRM platforms like Dynamics 365, and finance or billing solutions.

• Experience in supporting large-scale cloud transformation programs.

• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Relevant architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.

• Experience in insurance, legal services, claims management, or financial services is preferred but not essential.
