Enterprise Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with enterprise clients to gain insights into their business strategies, motivations, and limitations, then convert these insights into technological guidance.

• Evaluate existing technology landscapes and craft cohesive target-state architectures that align with business goals.

• Create transformation roadmaps that balance business value, risk, cost, and operational realities.

• Define architecture principles, standards, and reference models.

• Analyze trade-offs among cloud, container, infrastructure, and AI options, providing well-supported recommendations.

• Act as a reliable advisor and intermediary between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Deliver presentations on architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives and hands-on engineers.

• Participate on-site with customers in various regions during discovery, design, and advisory initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capacity to view the enterprise as a whole and link technology choices to business objectives.

• Extensive knowledge of private cloud platforms, particularly OpenStack.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes-based container platforms, including Mirantis k0s and Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE).

• Familiarity with multi-cluster management solutions such as Mirantis k0rdent.

• Insight into workload orchestration across clusters and varied environments.

• Understanding of VMware vSphere environments, as well as modernization and migration strategies.

• Knowledge of bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle.

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or comparable infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management methodologies.

• Familiarity with components of cloud and container platforms and their integration.

• Awareness of enterprise AI infrastructure, model serving, inference stacks, data management, security, and governance considerations.

• Strong communication skills to articulate architecture and its rationale to both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Preferred experience with Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK).

• Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Software Defined Storage (SDS) is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred.

• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud strategies and workload portability is preferred.

• Additional European language skills beyond English are preferred.

• Relevant cloud or container certifications are preferred.
