This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and enhance the enterprise architecture framework for Velera Systems, focusing on business, application, and technology architectures.
• Develop TOGAF artifacts, including matrices, diagrams, building blocks, and principles using ArchiMate.
• Acquire knowledge and construct business architecture elements such as business capability models, gap analyses, risk impact assessments, value stream maps, heat maps, and decision matrices.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior architects and technical teams, promoting collaboration and best practices in architectural design and implementation.
• Supervise significant architectural projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the timely delivery of solutions.
• Assess and develop solutions utilizing Architecture Review Board (ARB), Permit to Build (PTB), and Permit to Operation (PTO) artifacts, along with capacity forecasting planning and managing a technology-based end of support and rationalization program.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders to comprehend their needs and ensure that architectural solutions effectively tackle business challenges.
• Identify and assess emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance system performance and competitive edge.
• Establish and uphold architectural standards and governance frameworks to guarantee consistency, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Proactively identify potential architecture-related risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring system reliability and resilience.
• Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including models, diagrams, and specifications, while providing regular updates on architectural progress and impact.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience is mandatory.
• Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) are preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in enterprise architecture or systems design is required.
• Extensive exposure to finance and payment systems is essential.
• A thorough understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, integration techniques, and technology stacks pertinent to finance and payments is necessary.
• Capability to produce hands-on TOGAF artifacts such as matrices, diagrams, analyses, roadmaps, building blocks, and business capacity maps.
• Practical experience with architectural modeling tools like EA Sparx or ServiceNow APM is recommended.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on strategic and tactical thinking.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence key decision-makers.
• Demonstrated experience in leading architectural projects and teams, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
