Enterprise Architect, Finance Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the complete technical architecture for Finance systems, which includes ERP, close management, planning and consolidation, data pipelines, and related tools.

• Create and manage a Finance systems roadmap that aligns with Reddit’s growth, M&A activities, and changing reporting needs.

• Assess build-versus-buy choices and offer a technical viewpoint on Finance technology investments.

• Set and uphold architectural standards, integration patterns, and data governance protocols.

• Collaborate with Corporate Engineering, Data Engineering, and Security to ensure scalable, compliant, and well-integrated Finance systems.

• Personally oversee the delivery of systems engineering projects.

• Configure, integrate, and sustain Finance platforms such as NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Zip, and Adaptive.

• Design and develop integrations between Finance systems and both upstream and downstream data sources.

• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for issues related to Finance systems.

• Assist in M&A activities through systems due diligence, gap analysis, and integration planning.

• Design and manage scalable data pipelines utilizing tools like Workato and BigQuery.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for Finance leadership.

• Convert business requirements into architectural decisions and discuss tradeoffs effectively.

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to pinpoint challenges and identify system enhancements.

• Aid stakeholders in defining needs, estimating effort, and effectively sequencing tasks.

• Lead a small, high-impact team and influence the Finance technology strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing Finance technology stacks, including ERP, P2P, R2R, or similar systems.

• Familiarity with platforms such as NetSuite, Workato, Adaptive, Zip, Coupa, Ramp, Workday, Salesforce, or similar tools.

• Hands-on expertise in systems integration, APIs, ETL/ELT, iPaaS tools, and Finance-focused data modeling.

• Capability to navigate both executive-level architecture discussions and detailed technical implementation.

• Experience in constructing and managing data pipelines.

• Knowledge of Workato and BigQuery.

• Understanding of analytics engineering practices and tools like Hex or Looker.

• Experience in supporting M&A workstreams is a significant advantage.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Experience in a fast-growing public technology company is a plus.

• Background in working with Corporate Engineering or shared services models is a plus.

• Familiarity with SOX compliance considerations in systems design is an added benefit.
