Enterprise Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Offer direction, guidance, and a clear definition of enterprise-wide architecture that aligns with corporate business strategy.

• Research, analyze, design, propose, and implement solutions that are in line with business and technology strategies across various IT functional areas.

• Establish policies, standards, guidelines, and governance for the selection, development, implementation, and utilization of information technology.

• Facilitate forecasting of backend hardware for mission-critical systems.

• Lead enterprise solution architecture for initiatives by evaluating current and future states, identifying gaps, and creating implementation models.

• Create and document enterprise standards, guiding principles, designs, roadmaps, plans, and position papers.

• Investigate IT industry and market trends and evaluate their implications for enterprise operations and project requirements.

• Analyze business and IT environments to pinpoint deficiencies and suggest options for improvement.

• Design, develop, and oversee backend hardware forecasting processes.

• Provide consultation on application and infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

• Conduct enterprise architecture reviews for IT Service Lifecycle Management.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, Trinity Health policies, and the Code of Conduct.

• Communicate with individuals across multiple locations regarding product support issues.

• Travel to Trinity Health sites to fulfill project or training assignments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five to seven years of progressive experience with extensive knowledge of hardware, software, applications, and systems engineering.

• Experience in at least two IT disciplines, such as strategic planning, solution architecture, technology architecture, network management, security management, change management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management, project management, or operations management.

• Minimum of five years of experience in the healthcare industry.

• At least two years of experience in enterprise solution architecture in one or more IT specialty areas.

• Advanced to expert technical knowledge of architecture, applications, systems design, and integration.

• Understanding of healthcare processes and data linkages across clinical, financial, and patient administrative areas in both acute care and outpatient settings.

• Familiarity with multiple components of enterprise architecture.

• Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.

• Basic understanding of financial analysis and models.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent innovation, planning, and organizational skills.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey complex technology concepts to executive management.

• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, emotional intelligence, conflict-management, and shared-leadership skills.

• Capacity to adapt to changing assignments, priorities, interruptions, deadlines, and manage multiple concurrent projects.

• Willingness to travel to various Trinity Health sites, approximately 20% as needed.

• Ability to work overtime when required to meet deadlines.
