Enterprise Architect

📋 Description

• The Enterprise Architect serves as a strategic, hands-on technology leader tasked with promoting architectural excellence across the enterprise and expediting modernization initiatives throughout the organization.

• Acting as a cross-domain expert, this position complements and enhances the contributions of specialized architects in Cloud Infrastructure, Data, Solutions, and Business Architecture, ensuring alignment across various technology domains and the provision of cohesive, scalable enterprise solutions.

• This role connects different architectural disciplines, facilitating the design of integrated, composable solutions while offering additional technical leadership and execution capacity when required.

• By leading through example, the Enterprise Architect creates proof-of-concepts, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and strategic technology roadmaps that raise architectural standards and improve engineering results throughout IT.

• A key priority of this role is to drive enterprise modernization, advocating for the adoption of cloud-native, composable, and platform-oriented architectures that enhance scalability, resilience, extensibility, and operational efficiency.

• The Enterprise Architect is instrumental in architectural governance, technology strategy, and solution assurance, ensuring that investments are aligned with business goals and adhere to industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven success and a solid track record in relevant professional or life experiences in specific job functions, projects, or industries.

• Military experience may be considered as a substitute for professional experience and/or formal educational credentials.

• Over 12 years in technology roles with expertise in at least two architecture domains (cloud infrastructure, data, solution/integration, or business/process) and a history of delivering scalable, production-grade solutions; at least 5 years in a lead or senior architectural position influencing design across teams through expertise rather than authority.

• Practical experience with Azure architecture, including services such as Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Entra ID, and Power BI (experience with AKS is a plus).

• Familiarity with data architecture (modeling, pipelines, lakehouse/warehouse) and cloud-native, composable patterns (API-first, event-driven, microservices, infrastructure-as-code).

• Experience in gathering requirements and modeling business/system processes (e.g., BPMN) and leading cross-functional design sessions.
