This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Expand student enrollment in CIEE’s impactful study abroad programs for high school students and recent graduates through effective sales outreach and a target-oriented mindset.
• You will take charge of the entire applicant experience, from initial interest to confirmed participation, proactively guiding students and establishing trust with both students and their families throughout the process.
• With a strong enthusiasm for relationship building and working with teens, you will transform inquiries into transformative study abroad opportunities by assisting students and families in identifying the programs that best align with their objectives and interests.
• Communicate the benefits and tangible outcomes of study abroad experiences to U.S. high school students and their legal guardians.
• Adhere to a structured sales outreach strategy to proactively engage interested leads and applicants through phone calls, text messages, and email correspondence.
• Capable of managing a high volume of daily calls, ranging from 20-60 calls per day, depending on the season.
• Inspire and guide participants and families through the scholarship and application procedures.
• Collaborate with families to address challenges related to studying abroad during high school.
• Deliver professional and timely customer service to students and parents throughout the entire application journey, including program acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure readiness.
• Conduct virtual webinars aimed at students and parents, presenting to large audiences.
• Present information to students and parents in person at high schools and fairs within your designated area.
• Evaluate applications, accept candidates, and convert them into paid participants.
• Ensure the financial accounts for participants are accurate and fully paid, following up on any discrepancies and outstanding payments.
• Utilize reports within Salesforce (CRM system) to manage your applicant pipeline and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain precise records of communications with clients in Salesforce (CRM system).
• Provide ongoing support for participants in all programs throughout the year.
• Engage in sales training throughout the year and continually work on enhancing your skills as a sales professional.
• Available to work some evening hours to connect with students and guardians when they are accessible.
• Responsible for providing emergency assistance during 1-2 travel weekends annually.
• Opportunity to earn international travel once a year to accompany student group flights.
• Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in customer service or sales.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations effectively.
• Experience with international travel or studying abroad is preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse group of high school students is advantageous.
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your message to various audiences.
