English to Ukrainian OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to acquire new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report directly to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in English (source language) and a native speaker of Ukrainian (target language).

• A minimum of 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is a plus, but not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is beneficial.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
