English to Korean Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert various text types and subject matters into different languages.

• Engage in transcreation processes.

• Review and edit translations generated by machines.

• Perform research on terminology.

• Develop and uphold translation memories and termbases.

• Establish and maintain style guides.

• Attend occasional meetings with client representatives.

• Make periodic visits to clients for product demonstrations or briefings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Translators must possess native-level proficiency in Korean.

• Exceptional grammar skills and a fluent writing style.

• A translation qualification along with a minimum of three years of experience.

• Eagerness to learn and willingness to go above and beyond.

• Capability to review others' work, provide edits and feedback.

• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality.

• Strong time management skills and adaptability.

• Professional demeanor and dedication to quality.

• Competent in working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple references.

• Awareness of cultural nuances.

• Client-focused and a collaborative team player.

• Familiarity with CAT tools such as MemoQ, Trados, Smartling, Memsource (optional).

• Experience in translating/transcreating marketing-related messages (optional).

• Background in translating for the e-commerce and finance sectors (optional).

• Experience in subtitling videos (optional).
