English to French Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Convert content from English to German (de-DE and/or de-CH)

• Edit and refine translated materials

• Conduct post-editing of machine-translated content (MTPE)

• Work with various types of content including marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal documents

• Manage an anticipated workload of over 5,000 words weekly

• Utilize a client-specific CAT tool

• Collaborate on prominent international projects

• Establish a long-term collaboration with Welo Global

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in German (de-DE and/or de-CH)

• Strong command of English (en-US)

• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or over 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree

• Proven experience in translating from English to German (de-DE and/or de-CH) across various content types including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support

• Proficient in using CAT tools

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to produce high-quality translations while adhering to deadlines in a dynamic localization setting

• Strong communication skills, quick responsiveness, reliability, and a willingness to accept feedback and make revisions
