English, Slovak OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's ethical guidelines.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting (healthcare and medical).

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Ensure the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and the Client by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training initiatives.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Slovak."

• Over a year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an added advantage.

• International certifications related to the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are essential.
